Haas left the Mexico City Grand Prix on a high after both Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg finished in the points to continue their impressive run of form.
The American team secured their best ever finish at the South American circuit as they crossed the line in seventh and ninth, increasing their lead over RB in the battle for P6 in the constructors’ standings to 10 points.

It was a practically flawless weekend for Haas as both cars made it through to Q3 before keeping out of position drivers like McLaren’s Oscar Piastri at bay for the bulk of the race.
The result means that they have scored points for six races in a row including the Sprint in Austin, equalling their streak from 2018 as Magnussen also produced his best finish in over two years.
Speaking after the race, Magnussen said: “It was a perfect day really, we got everything right. The balance in the car was just in that sweet spot and I was able to just really manage the tyres and push hard – manage the tyres when I needed to and push them when I needed to as well.

“P7 was better than we could have hoped for because we had Piastri cruising through the field and it didn’t happen, so I was able to just about manage to keep him behind.
“The last year or so has been tough. I feel like I’m finding my rhythm again here and it’s nice. Hopefully we can finish off this year and just really nail some points finishes in these last four races.”
His German team mate was full of praise for him and the team as a whole after the upgrades they introduced at the United States Grand Prix appear to be paying off – it was an added bonus that their standings rivals RB failed to score in Mexico.
“I’m very happy for Kevin, he drove a brilliant weekend and was so quick in the race, so really deserved for him,” Hulkenberg explained. “Very positive, we’ve been competitive and a great weekend for us.

“It feels very good and very rewarding. I think everyone’s work is paying off and we’re a consistent contender for points which is obviously great news – I think four time points in a row now for me, including the Sprint in Austin.
“That shows the consistency that we have within the package and car. It makes me look forward to next week and the three after as well.”
